Our first and only look at State of Decay 3 is the cinematic announcement released by Microsoft in July 2020. It’s unlikely that the game will be released during a timeframe when new games are still being featured on last-generation consoles.

Platformsīeing published by Xbox Game Studios, State of Decay 3 will be available on the Xbox Series X, Series S, and PC. Meanwhile, Undead Labs has continued support for State of Decay 2, first released in 2018, with fairly regular updates. It appears the project is still in pre-production, and the situation at Undead Labs doesn’t bode well for a release anytime soon. There was also no new news from the studio during any other 2022 gaming events or so far in 2023. A March 2022 investigative report from Kotaku outlined Undead Labs’ massive culture shift after it was acquired by Microsoft in 2018, which has resulted in allegations of mismanagement, burnout, and misogyny.įans hoped to catch a new look at State of Decay 3 during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, but it was not mentioned at all. According to reports, Undead Labs was pressured into releasing an announcement trailer before developers felt like they were ready to do so. When the cinematic announcement trailer was released at the Xbox Games Showcase event in July 2020, Undead Labs said the game was in the early pre-production stages.

but overall the game is pretty neat.Neither Undead Labs nor Microsoft has announced a release date for State of Decay 3, which means it will be a while before we see the much-anticipated sequel. Another problem is about useless things and buildings (such as oil, and a medical lab (truth be told it can only make painkillers). They game frequently has small and big glitches which range from small tiny bugs (like tiny map problems) to much major problems (such as vehicles glitching and breaking easily). Although this game doesn't come without problems. not to mention hunt for special zombies that can kill you quickly and painfully. You need to care for survivors and scavenge for resources. Its one of those few games that's isn't like call of duty Nazi zombies. Here you will get brand new buildings, a new map, and a new set of characters that you will be working with. A military unit stationed in Danforth that is trying to evacuate important personnel and civilians while surviving themselves. And last but not least there's lifeline, another smaller campaign that takes you into the eyes of greyhound 2. There's Breakdown which is basically a sandbox mode where the difficulty increases when you continue on forward. The main game itself where there is a storyline you will need to follow. State of decay has 3 modes (or 2 dlc's and the main game). You will also get a very tough fight due to the fact that zombies get more difficult as the game progresses. The game is pretty well designed for a arcade game, its pretty advanced, there's a wide variety of weapons, ammo, gear, and zombies for you to get and fight. You must build a suitable safe haven, build structures that could help you and your survivors, and scavenge for basic resources (such as food, medicine, and materials).

You play the role of a small group of survivors who are struggling to survive the apocalypse. The game takes you to trumbull county, a local town suffering from a massive outbreak of black fever, which has caused most of the civilians to die and reanimate to become zombies. State of Decay, is a pretty good game which I would recommend to anyone who wants to make their own base and survive.
